In a clarion call for solidarity, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has urged members of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Niger State to embrace unity as the bedrock of a stronger party and a resilient democracy.

Addressing a high-profile gathering of party stakeholders at the Niger State Government House on Saturday, Idris emphasized that internal harmony is non-negotiable for continued success.

The meeting, convened by Governor Umaru Mohammed Bago, served
as a critical platform for reconciliation and strategic alignment ahead of upcoming political challenges.

“Let us heal our divisions and strengthen our democracy,” Idris declared, his words resonating across the hall.

“Political differences should never be allowed to undermine our collective interest or the progress of Niger State. We must close ranks and work together in the spirit of unity, brotherhood, and shared responsibility.”

The Minister reminded the leaders present that the APC’s enduring victories at both the state and national levels hinge on inclusiveness and dialogue. He commended Governor Bago for initiating the summit, calling it a timely intervention to renew the party’s commitment to its core ideals.

Beyond party politics, Idris took the opportunity to highlight transformative strides made by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

He pointed to the monumental impact of Nigerian Education Loan Fund NELFUND, which has empowered over one million students to pursue higher education.

He also underscored Nigeria’s macroeconomic stability, noting the impressive surge in foreign reserves to approximately $50 billion.

The Minister further showcased the
administration’s infrastructural drive, highlighting the ongoing rehabilitation of over 2,000 kilometers of roads nationwide, including the landmark Sokoto‒Badagry Super Highway.

In a strategic nod to the agrarian economy, Idris lauded President Tinubu’s establishment of the Federal Ministry of Livestock Development.

He described the new ministry as a gamechanger that will unlock vast economic potential, particularly in the North, while bolstering food security and agricultural productivity.

Concluding his address, the Minister implored the stakeholders to maintain unwavering support for President Tinubu and Governor Bago, ensuring that their joint efforts translate into sustainable development and tangible improvements in the lives of ordinary citizens.
