Adron Homes and Properties is set to bring a major real estate dimension to the 11th Olojo Festival with plans for a premium estate in Ile-Ife, deepening its commitment to the city’s cultural heritage and community development.

The 2026 festival, themed “Culture Preservation Through Sustainable Tourism,” will bring together traditional rulers, government officials, corporate organisations, tourists, cultural stakeholders and the media to celebrate the historical significance of Ile-Ife and its place in Yoruba civilisation.

Adron Homes was represented at the festival’s press conference and unveiling ceremony by senior executives from its Western operations, including Ogundapo Odunola, Deputy Managing Director, Western Super-Cluster; Johnson Olugbenga, Assistant Managing Director, Western Galaxy 1; and Shobowale Taiwo, Deputy Sales Manager, Livingspring World.

Speaking at the event, Seyi Oyekunle, Director General, Media, Branding and Corporate Communication, Adron Group, said the company’s participation reflected its belief that cultural preservation and sustainable development could thrive together.

He said the Olojo Festival was more than an annual celebration, describing it as a living connection between Ile-Ife’s past, present and future.

“At Adron Group, we are in the business of real estate, but our purpose is much bigger than the development of properties. We build homes. We build cities. We build communities,” Oyekunle said.

The company’s plans for an Adron Homes Premium Estate within the Ile-Ife domain formed the centrepiece of its engagement.

Oyekunle expressed appreciation to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, for granting the approval and confidence required for the project.

He acknowledged that the approval came with a responsibility to support Ile-Ife’s growth while preserving its rich historical and cultural identity.

According to him, the estate is envisioned as more than a housing project. It is expected to attract investment, provide quality homes, stimulate local businesses and strengthen the bond between Ile-Ife and people of Yoruba descent around the world.

The development could also provide a platform for members of the diaspora to reconnect with their roots by creating opportunities to “come home, invest home, build home and preserve home.”

Oyekunle further called for the transformation of Ile-Ife into a year-round tourism destination, saying its economic potential should extend beyond the annual Olojo Festival.

He stressed that sustainable tourism must create tangible opportunities for artisans, young people, entrepreneurs and hospitality operators.

He also urged young people to see Yoruba culture not only as a heritage to preserve but as a potential source of livelihoods and enterprise across film, fashion, music, technology, arts and tourism.

As Adron Homes prepares to participate in the festival, its Premium Estate plan signals a broader vision for Ile-Ife—one where real estate, cultural preservation and community prosperity are built together.
