AITEC World’s Africa Tourism Dialogue, 2nd launch to hold in Ethiopia

The Africa Tourism Dialogue (ATD), the first of its kind is scheduled to hold at the African Union (AU) headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from 5th–8th November 2025.

This ATD is a product of the Africa International Tourism and Economic Council (AITEC World) in collaboration with Africa celebrates.

AITEC World Vice President, Communications and International Relations, Ambassador Kazeem Balogun disclosed this at the 21st edition of the Akwaaba Africa Travel Market (AfTM), held at the Eko Hotel, Lagos recently.
Amb Balogun harped on AITEC World’s Africa Tourism Dialogue as not just an event, but a movement designed to reposition tourism as a catalyst for development, peace, and prosperity across Africa and the world.

He therefore, on behalf of the AITEC World extended an open invitation to the global tourism community for this forthcoming Africa Tourism Dialogue (ATD) and the second launch of the organisation.

Speaking further, Amb Balogun unveiled AITEC World’s six pillars of strategic objectives, which serve as the backbone of the organization’s mission:
1. Strengthen Africa’s and Global Tourism Brand, 2. Improve Mobility and Connectivity, 3. Drive Investment and Economic Growth.

4. Strengthen Policies, Data Collection and Innovation, 5. Promote Sustainable and Inclusive Development and 6. Integrate African and International Tourism.

“With this six strategic pillars, AITEC World aims to empower stakeholders, influence policies, foster partnerships that ensure tourism become cornerstone of inclusive development and economic transformation”, Ambassador Balogun said at the event.
The Vice President also emphasized the benefits of joining AITEC World, noting that the organization provides a platform for governments, private sector players, investors, and cultural stakeholders to shape the future of tourism together.
