AYCSFN condemns moves to impeach Senate President, Akpabio

The Conglomerates of Arewa Youth Conference for Sustainable Future of Nigeria AYCSFN Organization has condemned the moves by some aggrieved senators to impeach the Senate President Distinguished senator Godswil Obot Akpabio.

In a Press release signed by the President Hon. Muttaka Ahmed Ibrahim and released to Pressmen on Tuesday.

The Conglomerates referred to a publication making Waves on the News stated that some aggrieved senators are planning to impeach the Senate President, and that two prominent senators from the North West and other senators across the national assembly are already meeting and mapping out plans to carry out the daring move.

Chairman of Conglomeration of Arewa Youth NGOS Arewa Youth Conference for Sustainable Future of Nigeria AYCSFN, Arewa Youth Development AYD with Mass Integration for Peace Initiatives In Nigeria have point out that the moves is been connected to some northern PDP Senators planning to distract the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu by hijacking the 10th Senate chamber.

The group in the statement therefore hailed Senator Ali Ndume for his efforts in unifying the Senate by telling the senators that Nigerians now have a good leader in the 10th Senate with transparency, capability and commitments to ensure that dividends of democracy is not tampered with.

The group said they are ready to recall all the northern senators behind the disloyalty and National disrespect to the office of the Senate President.

“We wish to state that Nigeria is a multi tribal, and multi cultural entities that had been patient with the natural resources to develop their communities and regions through political representation, it should be made known that no one is above the law of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Arewa Youth Conference for Sustainable Future of Nigeria AYCSFN Organization therefore urge the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) to look into the matter to unravel the ongoing plots and carry out a comprehensive investigation about those who are behind the disloyalty to the sovereignty of the nation”.

The Group also called on well meaning Nigerians, political stakeholders and the international communities to condem the moves to remove the Senate President.
