Campaign: With 3m crowd in Kano, Tinubu, Shettima have won – Fani-Kayode

The former Nigerian Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has said that with almost 3 million people that showed up to cheer All Progressives Congress Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu and his vice, Kashim Shettima in Kano cleared the victory for the party at forthcoming elections.

Fani-Kayode who took to his social media platform on Wednesday to celebrate the crowd for the election champaign in Kano, stated that those that doubt this need to have their heads examined, he congratulated Kano State Governor and all those that put this great event together.

Though it was reported that a mammoth crowd of supporters had thronged the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano venue of the campaign rally on Wednesday while the stadium was filled to the brim, yet more people were outside than inside but the number was not specified.



According to the former Minister, “With what happened in Kano City yesterday it is very clear that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Kashim Shettima have not only won the state but have also captured  the North West and won the 2023 presidential election.

“Those that doubt this need to have their heads examined. Up to almost 3 million people showed up to cheer them on and never in the history of Nigerian politics has such mammoth crowd gathered for just two men.

“It really was a defining moment in this election campaign and it is clear to me that God is with BAT. Congrats to the Governor of Kano state and all those that put this great event together and to Asiwaju and SKS. The victory is ours”, Fani-Kayode said.



Meanwhile, Kano Governor, Ganduje while welcoming the people thanked them for turning out in large numbers, saying their support for Asíwájú Tinubu is not misplaced because “he has been tested and found worthy and can be trusted to deliver for the country.”

In attendance at the rally were the party’s National Chairman Senator Abdullahi Adamu, Vice Presidential Candidate Senator Kashim Shettima, Senate President Senator Ahmed Lawan, and Chairman, Progressives Governors’ Forum and Governor of Kebbi, Senator Atiku Bagudu.

There were also the Director- General of the Tinubu- Shettima Campaign and Plateau State Governor, Hon. Simon Lalong as well as Governors Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano), Nasir el-Rufai (Kaduna), Aminu Masari (Katsina) and Mai Mala Buni (Yobe) among others.
