Houston, Texas in the United States has witnessed momentous occasion recently as Sir Charles Omiyale, a distinguished IT professional, businessman, and philanthropist, alongside his wife, Lady Mrs. Shaneka Omiyale, were solemnly invested as Knights of Saint Christopher (KSC).
The prestigious ceremony, held under the auspices of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) America Mission (CONNAM) at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Houston, marked a significant milestone for the Anglican Communion in North America.
The investiture was officiated by Rt. Revd Dr. Augustine Unuigbe, Coordinating Bishop of CONNAM. During a heartfelt tribute, the Bishop of CONNAM Region 2, Rt. Rev. Celestine Irona, lauded Omiyales for their profound contributions to the growth and advancement of the Anglican Communion.
He emphasized that the new Knights were recognized for their “spiritual and moral character and for their outstanding devotion towards the propagation of the gospel of our lord Jesus Christ.”
Rt. Rev. Irona further highlighted Sir Charles Omiyale’s extensive impact, noting his philanthropic efforts in his home community of Igbajo, Osun State, Nigeria, and across the Diaspora.
The ceremony itself was described as a “sacred service marking the admission of the new Knights into the noble Order dedicated to faith, service, discipline and Christian witness.”
The historic event, which drew dignitaries from various parts of the world, concluded with a grand reception at the esteemed Glitz N Glam Event Centre in Houston, celebrating the Omiyales’ significant honor and their ongoing commitment to faith and community service.
