Former Eaglets’ Star and ABS goal poacher now playing professional football in Russia Olakunle Olusegun has supported his child hood club Arsenal Kiddies with modern football Kits presented to the founder Sony Aamioje.

At a short, but colourful ceremony this Saturday, Olakunle Olusegun was elated to give back to the grassroot academy that gave him the basic fundamentals of football before he was snapped by Kwara Football Academy and subsequent exposure by Abubakar Bukola Saraki ILORIN FC.

In a chat with sportspro news correspondent, Olusegun Olakunle expressed his gratitude to God for using Sony Aamioje as the foundation to build a career which has pushed him to play among the best players in the world.



His club FC Krasnodar in Russia is not doing badly and with the break,the former ABS leather striker hinted that his ambition to play in the senior national team the Super Eagles will soon yield positive result following the invitation extended to him to play against Portugal in a friendly but for a slight injury which denied him of his debut for the Super Eagles.

According to the former Eaglet utility player, Olakunle said he’s now in top form as clubs across Europe seek for his signature to play for them after watching him on weekly basis. 
 
He was honoured by by his Arsenal Kiddies mate in a novelty match at A” division playing ground which ended 3-3 (Red vs a Yellow) along side David Okoromi who will lace his boots for Niger Tornadoes in the premier league next January before departing for Egypt through the clearance by ABS FC.

Olakunle Olusegun commended all the players both old and new for their dedication and support for Arsenal Kiddies. He promised to always support the team and coaches in his drive to promote the game and discover more talents.



Meanwhile, Kunle will be traveling back to base next week with two of his siblings who are equally talented to build a career in football.

Reacting to the gesture, Arsenal Kiddies football Academy founder and proprietor Sony Aamioje,a graduate of Microbiology from University of Benin turned football coach appreciated Olakunle for his gesture and urged other players to emulate him. 

Aamioje disclosed that the Re-union novelty match and party was organised to remember a staunch supporter of Arsenal Kiddies Academy late Police officer SUPOL SANNI OJO, where funds was also raised and delivered to the daughter to assist in her school fees.
