FRSC elevates 120 Senior Officers in major capacity drive

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced a significant milestone in its human capacity development efforts, with 120 senior officers elevated to higher ranks.

This development, approved by the Secretary to the Government of the
Federation, underscores Govt’s commitment to strengthening institutional leadership and recognizing dedication and meritorious service within the Corps.

The promotions are effective from January 1, 2026, and reflect the FRSC’s ongoing drive to foster professionalism and reward sustained contributions to road safety across Nigeria.

Breakdown of Promotions:

The comprehensive promotion exercise saw 19 officers elevated to prestigious rank of Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM).

Additionally, 55 Deputy Corps Commanders (DCC) were promoted to Corps Commander (CC), 46 Assistant Corps Commanders (ACC) advanced to the rank of Deputy Corps Commander (DCC).

Among those elevated to Assistant Corps Marshal are: A. Oki, N.S. Joseph, C.Z. Mathew, S.E. Dawulung, F.A. Ogidan, A.O. Ruka, A.O. Ugah, U.E. Oji, I.M. Bazzama.
Also, F.N. Theman, fnarc, O.E. Joseph, R.E. Akpabio, U.B. Amaechi, A. Owolabi, Leye Adeboboye, fsi, M.O. Egbe, B.S. Akanji, F.O. Etta, and K Tsukwan.

These officers were recognized for their exemplary service records, leadership competence, and significant contributions to the FRSC’s mandate.

Corps Marshal Charges Newly Promoted Officers:

Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed extended his congratulations to the newly promoted officers, emphasizing that the exercise is a testament to the Corps’ unwavering commitment to excellence, discipline, and a structured career progression system.

Mohammed urged the beneficiaries to uphold the trust placed in them by demonstrating even higher levels of dedication, leadership, and professionalism in their duties.
He stated that, “Promotion within the FRSC is not merely a reward but a call to greater responsibility”.

Corps Marshal further implored the officers to leverage their extensive experience to advance the Corps’ critical mandate of reducing the road traffic
crashes and cultivating safer motoring environments nationwide.

In line with established procedures, the Corps has directed all promoted officers to refrain from adorning their new ranks until a formal decoration ceremony takes place.

This strategic promotion exercise is a crucial step in solidifying the FRSC’s vision of building a highly motivated and result-driven workforce, ultimately dedicated to saving lives on Nigerian roads.
