They says, “Every milestone is a miniature victory on the road to achieving someone’s goal” while celebrating a woman of virtue, Mrs Bankole Olaiya on her birthday couldn’t be lesser, a certified Pharmacy Technician, a wife and a mother who marked a year older on April 25th, in this interview with Oluwaseun Sonde speaks on the goodness of God in her life, her marital status blessed with kind-hearted fatherly figure and loving wonderful kids.

Can we get to meet you?

My names are Bankole olaiya born to the family of Mr and Mrs Olawale Odejimi on the 25th of April, 1979. I attended Ejire Nursery and Primary School and proceeded to high school where I attended Anglican Grammar School Okenla Ifo, and further my education to Ogun State College of Health Technology while graduated to become a certified Pharmacy Technician working with Ogun State Government. Got married to Mr Bankole Oladiran on the 22nd of February, 2003 and we are blessed with wonderful children.

How is like celebrating another year?

Mrs Bankole and Colleagues

It’s been so wonderful, I was like very happy to witness another day. My children, husband, family and friends celebrated my day with me and above all I give God all the glory for the privilege. If God permit, I will be celebrating another birthday on 25th of April, 2024, I can’t wait to celebrate my day every year.

Can you take us through your experience in life?

My growing up was superb, I have my mom, my grandma and a caring Dad. All my life, I have be been with my parents and when I got to tertiary institution I find it difficult to cope on my own and with time I got used to it. The experience of meeting new faces and making friends was something else because I was a girl always in door, but when mixing with them I had a lot of experience and I learnt a lot of lesson which really helped me to become what I am today. To God be the glory, I am a Civil Servant, a certified Pharmacy Technician working with the Ogun State Government, God has been very good to me because by His mercies I’m not consumed.

Tell us your most happiest moment in life?

Mrs Bankole and Husband

The moment I got married, I had my first child and the moment I graduated from school. I met my husband through his friend, infact I didn’t know we could be husband and wife because I never expected it, he just told me he likes me and he proposed to me in front of everyone present there. Wow! I was somehow shy and full of happiness, eversince my husband has been lovely, caring and also he is a good father to our children.

The moment you become a wife and mother, how was it like?

Hmmmm! Becoming a wife is a great school and talking of being a mother the experience is awesome, you have to take care of the home as well has taking care of the children. Anyways God has been good to me.

What would you say to Nigerian women aspiring to clock your age?

Mrs Bankole’s children

My advice to my fellow women is to be contended with what they have and live a healthy life, love yourself, because to witness this age is a privilege, many have gone, it’s only the grace of God that sustained us. Don’t give room for too much thinking because it leads to high blood pressure and eventually take someone’s life, always be happy and believe in Almighty God who will never fail and He will never fail.
