NIMC bridges access gap, launches new WhatsApp, Live Chat support

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has announced a
significant leap forward in commitment to citizen-centered service delivery with the launch of new digital customer support channels.

In a move set to enhance accessibility
and responsiveness, Nigerians and legal residents can now access real-time assistance for National Identification Number (NIN) related enquiries through official WhatsApp and Live Chat platforms.

Under the visionary leadership of Engr. Abisoye Coker-Odusote, the Director- General and CEO of NIMC, these initiatives are part of ongoing reforms and digital transformation efforts.

The goal is to align with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritizes improving public sector efficiency and leveraging technology to
enhance access to government services.
The newly introduced platforms include:
• Live Chat Support: Available directly on the official NIMC website: www.nimc.gov.ng. Official NIMC WhatsApp Support Line: Accessible via +234 701 566 6971

These channels are designed to provide prompt responses, real-time guidance, and improved customer interaction, significantly reducing the need for physical visits to NIMC offices.
According to the statement released by the Commission, this not only enhances user experience but boosts operational efficiency across the board.

NIMC encourages all members of the public to utilize these official communication platforms for verified information, prompt assistance, and the latest updates concerning NIN services and other identity management matters.

The Commission also advises vigilance, urging citizens to engage only through these official channels to safeguard
against misinformation and fraudulent activities.
