NYSC warns against night journey as Corps pass-out October 12

As Preparations for the Passing-Out of the 2022 Batch ‘C’ Stream One Corps Members draw near, Corps Members have been warned not to embark on night journey as they go back to meet their families.

The Director General of National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General YD Ahmed stated this today in Abuja as contained in statement released by the Scheme

He said the Scheme has mapped-out a week-long activities for out-going Corps Members which include; job creation and employment opportunities after service, which would be handled by experienced officers from NYSC and National Directorate of Employment (NDE).

He added that the distribution of Certificates of National Service would be done at the Local Government basis on Thursday 12th October, 2023.

The DG commended Corps’ invaluable contributions to national development especially their performances during the 2023 general elections, likewise their interventions in the health, education, rural development and other sectors of the economy.

General Ahmed also advised the Corps Members to uphold the ideals of patriotism, diligence, loyalty, self-empowerment they learnt during service.
