Oyo Govt seeks collaboration with women entrepreneurs

The Oyo State Government has advised women to support one another in order to improve the social economic status of the society.

The Secretary to the Oyo State Government, Professor Olanike Adeyemo stated this while hosting the Economic Community of West African State/ Federation of Business Women Entrepreneurs (ECOWAS/FEBNE) in Ibadan.

She said the present administration under the leadership of Engineer Seyi Makinde has achieved 35 percent affirmation for women in the State.

 

 

She enjoined ECOWAS/FEBWE not to relent in empowering fellow women.

The Secretary to the State Government admonished women to team up to support one another and multi-task to reach greater heights in their profession.

 

 

In her remarks, the State coordinator of the group, Olubunmi Olalekan appreciated the State Government for different laudable projects and initiatives the present administration is implementing for the good of the people of Oyo State.

She added that ECOWAS FEBWE is a non-political organization with the sole focus of catering for women entrepreneurs in sub-sharan Africa by focusing on economic growth, poverty reduction through easing cross border trade for women businesses across West the African region, Africa and the global market.
