Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his counterpart from Ondo State, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu facilitated with the newly sworn-in Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji on Sunday.

The facilitation came in after Oyebanji was sworn-in as the new Governor at the Ekiti Parapo Pavilion, witnessed by the Lagos State Governor, Ondo State Governor, All Progressives Party Presidential Candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu among others

Oyebanji who completed the swearing-in formalities at 12.53 pm on Sunday with the signing of oath documents after the state Chief Judge, Justice Adeyeye, had administered the oath of office and the oath of allegiance on the new helmsman.

Sanwo-Olu while congratulating the newly sworn-in Ekiti State Governor, rejoiced with his families friends, associates, APC members, and the people of Ekiti State on the swearing-in ceremony.

Lagos Governor said he has no doubt based on Oyebanji’s antecedents, will not disappoint the people of Ekiti State, and Nigerians at large, while believed the newly sworn-in Governor will continue the people-oriented programmes and good governance of his predecessor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi.

Ondo State Governor, Akeredolu who was in Ado-Ekiti for the inauguration ceremony of the new Governor of Ekiti and his deputy, Christiana Afuye, congratulated them and wished them a very impactful tenure to the good people of Ekiti State.

Akeredolu said the totality of Ekiti former Governor, Fayemi’s eight years as Governor has been marked with remarkable excellence and immeasurable positive impact in the Land of Honour.

Ondo Governor noted that the outgoing Ekiti State Governor has been an instrument of peace, progress and prosperity not only for the people of his State but the entire country.

“Kayode, I am very glad to rejoice with you today as you bow out honorably as the Governor of Ekiti State. We thank God for enabling you to finish well and strong in the service of our people.

“We are proud of your contributions to national development, nation-building and service to humanity. Your leadership style exemplifies trans-generational qualities. You are a bridge builder and patriotic Nigerian.

“Your Midas touch dotted across the nooks and crannies of Ekiti State. You have dared to challenge the status quo. Your determination not to leave the State as you met it has resulted into bountiful gains for the people of the state. Your tenure was filled with unprecedented performance.

“Under your leadership, you have built a state that is better positioned for accelerated development. You have matched vision with courage and sincerity.

“You have deployed your God-given brilliance and experience to raise the bar of governance in Ekiti state to an enviable height. We are proud of you”, Governor Akeredolu said.
