In accessing the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s one year in office performance, an anonymous Nigerian has called for cabinet reshuffle, saying appointment of key Ministers has been average, with only a few delivering beyond expectations.

Speaking with Media Bypass News, the anonymous hailed the President for hitting the ground running with a strong start that surprised many, especially given the negative portrayal by the Obedient campaign.

On May 29, 2023, President Bola Tinubu was sworn in as the President of Nigeria while during his inaugural address, he announced the end of the Petrol subsidy, the anonymous with the name “Lannister Aspirations” pointed out that this decision has defined the President’s administration thus far.

Highlighting the key points where the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu should work on moving forward, he seek the replacement of these few Ministers who performed beyond expectation particularly in the power and other sectors.

The anonymous noted that Tinubu’s policy-making has lacked inclusivity, particularly concerning food security and transportation, adding that these sectors have been heavily impacted by subsidy removal, says more attention is needed.

Lannister Aspirations on X rated the National Security Agency’s performance as adequate in the successful rescue of kidnapped students. “However, security improvements needed, especially in the middle belt region due to ongoing banditry”.
On financial policies, led by the Central Bank of Nigeria, he also noted that this has showed remarkable progress but require more time for economic stabilization.

He concluded that there is still much work to be done, adding that a comprehensive assessment may be premature after just one year.

According to him, “Addressing food security, inflation, and improving basic amenities like power supply and transportation will be crucial in easing societal tensions.

“These developments will guide the Federal Government in the right direction, but a clear policy path is essential to avoid unnecessary experimentation, as Prof. Bolaji Akinyemi rightly emphasized: “Please hurry up”, he said.
