Nigerian Minister of Works, Senator (Engr) David Umahi has commended the President, Bola Tinubu’s innovative approach on roads reconstruction and rehabilitation which is targeted to boost industrialization for employment generation.
Umahi made the commendation at the ongoing stakeholders engagement meeting for the North-Central Zone, including Kogi, Nasarawa and Benue on 5th July 2024 in Lafia.
He said the Renewed Hope Agenda of Tinubu’s administration is committed to sustain ongoing infrastructural development in the country to ensure that all geopolitical zones have the enabling environment for accelerated economic development.
The Minister, in view of this called on all the stakeholders to support the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu administration on the infrastructural development drives.
According to the statement released by the Ministry, the Governor of Kogi State, Ahmed Usmane Ododo also commended the effort of Engr Umahi for giving attention to Abaji, Lokoja roads of the State, acknowledged the President for working for the benefits of the State and Nigerians.
Also, in his welcome address, the Chairman Nasarawa Council of Chiefs, Hon, justice Sidi Muhamad recalled the confidence and trust he has on President Tinubu’s ability to deliver on good governance.
While using this opportunity to commend the President for making the right choice by choosing Engr Umahi as Minster of works, adding that the Nasarawa State Council of Chief will continue to give the desired support to the present administration.
Also speaking, the Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr Abdullahi A. Sule hailed President Tinubu for completing some projects that have been abandoned, applauded David Umahi for his good works.
in his opening remarks, the Director Highways Bridges and Design, Engr. Obioha Bede noted that the essence of the meeting is to expose the design and alignment on the legacy projects as it affects Kogi, Nasarawa and Benue State.
