Known for masterfully challenging the genre’s traditional boundaries, Niño de Elche promises an evening where the deep roots of flamenco intertwine with sonic experimentation, electronic beats, and poignant poetry.
This concert, scheduled for Friday, July 17, 2026, at 6:00 PM, will take place at the Conference Hall of the National Universities Commission (NUC) at 26, Aguiyi Ironsi St.,Maitama, Abuja and it’s free entry.

Francisco Contreras Molina, known as Niño de Elche, has carved a unique path in the contemporary music scene.
Initially trained as an orthodox cantaor (flamenco singer), he has evolved into a multidisciplinary artist, fearlessly incorporating elements of improvisation, rock, spoken word, and multimedia into his performances.
His work has been described as avant-garde, pushing the limits of what flamenco can be, earning him accolades and a reputation as a visionary musician and nonconformist.
His previous works, such as “Colombiana” and collaborations with artists like Raül Refree, showcase his continuous exploration and reinvention of flamenco.
