The Arewa Revival Project expressed its strong endorsement for the Tax Reform Bill by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, currently before the National Assembly.
Recognizing the transformative potential of this bill, the group firmly believe it will significantly strengthen Nigeria’s economic framework, particularly by generating job opportunities and fostering sustainable growth, especially for the nation’s unemployed youth.
Looking back at the successful governance of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during his time as Governor of Lagos State, the group in a statement signed by Project Coordinator, Hon. Muttaka Ahmed Ibrahim on Friday, saw a powerful example of effective leadership, free from dependence on federal allocations. 
According to the group, “By employing innovative tax strategies and prudent resource management, Lagos became an economic powerhouse.
“This experience highlights critical role tax reform can play in enhancing both local, national economies, and promoting self-sufficiency and growth”.
The group urged the National Assembly to prioritize swift passage of this Tax Reform Bill, saying doing so will not only boost economic resilience but also ensure that the youth of Nigeria can play an active role in shaping the nation’s future. 
“The implementation of this bill will create an environment conducive to job creation and skill development, empowering young Nigerians to contribute meaningfully to the economy”, it added.
In line with this, the group appealed to the Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) to collaborate with them in raising awareness about the potential benefits of tax reform.
“Together, we can demonstrate how sound tax policies can lead to improved security, better infrastructure, and stronger workforce—ultimately driving sustainable economic growth.
“We stand in unwavering support of President Tinubu’s tax reform initiatives and call on all state governors to place national interests above personal agendas.
“Let us unite for the common good of the country and work towards empowering Nigerians through transformative economic policies.
“The time for action is now. The future of Nigeria depends on our commitment to innovative solutions and the well-being of our people. Together, we can build a prosperous and inclusive nation for all”, the group concluded.
