Army Commander promises more support for NYSC on security

The Theatre Commander, North-East Operation Hadin Kai, Major General GU Chibuisi has reiterated the readiness of officers and men of the command towards adequate provision of security for all Corps Members deployed to Borno State.

According to the statement released by the scheme on Monday, the General also said the command would ensure the continuous and safe hosting of Orientation Course at the NYSC Borno State Orientation Camp in Maiduguri.

The Theatre Commander disclosed this today when the NYSC Director General, Brigadier General YD Ahmed paid him a courtesy visit at the Headquarters, Joint Task Force in Maiduguri.

He said there should be total commitment towards the success, security and welfare of the Corps Members throughout their service year.

General Chibuisi lauded the NYSC Borno State Coordinator, Mr Adamu Jiya for his untiring efforts towards ensuring that Corps Members have a seamless service year in the State.

Speaking earlier, the NYSC Director General, Brigadier General YD Ahmed lauded the numerous assistance the command has offered NYSC in Borno State.

He specifically appreciated the command for its efforts in ensuring the safe resumption of Orientation Course activities at the NYSC Borno State Orientation Camp.

“We appreciate all the efforts you are making in securing the Corps Members including the donations”, the DG said.
