A major milestone has been reached in Nigeria’s infrastructure financing, as the
Coronation Infrastructure Fund (CIF) officially secures regulatory clearance for its Series II Offer.

On a crisp day at Coronation Plaza in Lagos, the ink dried on the transaction documents that will power Nigeria’s next wave of infrastructure development.

With the formal signing ceremony complete and the Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) approval
secured, the Coronation Infrastructure Fund (CIF) has officially cleared its most critical hurdle yet: launching the Series II Offer.

This moment is not just a regulatory checkbox; it is the culmination of a proven strategy and a testament to the confidence placed in Coronation Asset Management.

The journey began in September 2023, when the CIF launched its inaugural Series I issuance under a ₦200 billion SEC-approved Shelf Programme. The market response was resounding.

Thirtythree investors, including major Pension Fund Administrators who contributed 42% of the capital, rallied behind the fund, contributing to a highly successful ₦8.79 billion raise.

But a successful launch is only the beginning. The true measure of the fund’s success lies in its execution.

Since its inception, the CIF has disciplined itself to originate, structure, and manage investments that deliver sustainable returns without compromising capital preservation.

This rigorous approach has already yielded ₦3.31 billion in distributed income to unit holders—a clear signal of the fund’s financial health and its ability to generate real economic impact.

“We are building on that track record by connecting long-term capital with infrastructure projects that support Nigeria’s growth while creating lasting value for our investors,” said Aigbovbioise Aig-Imoukhuede, Managing Director and CEO of Coronation Asset Management, speaking at the signing ceremony.

His words reflect the strategic vision of the fund, a vision that has not gone unnoticed on the global stage.

Coronation Asset Management was recently named Nigeria’s Best Investment Manager for Private Credit at the Euromoney Awards 2026, cementing its
reputation as a leader in the space.

Looking ahead to Series II, the focus remains sharp. Mayowa Ikotun, Head of the Coronation Infrastructure Fund, outlined a diversified portfolio strategy targeting telecommunications, transport, energy, utilities, social infrastructure, and real estate.

By investing in projects with resilient cash flows and strong credit fundamentals, the CIF aims to bridge Nigeria’s infrastructure financing gap while providing investors with attractive,
long-term, risk-adjusted returns.

With the net proceeds from the Series II Offer earmarked for debt financing of infrastructure projects and Special Purpose Vehicles, the stage is set.

The Coronation Infrastructure Fund
is not just raising capital; it is laying the foundation for Nigeria’s economic resilience, one project at a time.

As the regulatory notification requirements are finalized, the public offer will soon open, inviting investors to become part of the nation’s growth story.
