The Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has called for unity in Africa and urged Nigerians in Diaspora with Dual Citizenship to keep in touch with home, and always be proud of their Nigerian citizenship.

NIDCOM Boss stated that Chidinma’s resilience, given the circumstances surrounding her emergence as Miss Universe Nigeria, is admirable and represents the creative energies and belligerence of Nigerians all over.

“If you have dual citizenship, don’t take the second one for granted. Nigeria has been there in this trying moment for you but I am glad you are home”.
Miss Universe Nigeria, Chidinma Onwe Adetshina, visibly impressed with the hospitality and warmth accorded her, thanked the Chairman/CEO, (NIDCOM), and has this to say, “I am so honoured to be sitting in front of you and thank you for this beautiful reception.”

She continued, “I wear this crown with immense pride and I am committed to making Nigeria proud”.
