Information Minister disowns write-up on Gubernatorial ambition

The Information and National Orientation Minister, Mohammed Idris has disowned a write-up, titled ‘Malagi 2027,’ in which permutations for the 2027 Niger State Gubernatorial elections were discussed.

In a statement released by his aide, the Minister disclaimed the write-up and all its contexts while urged the general public to disregard it as he as neither directed nor approved the publication.
Idris directed an immediate investigation, and his office issued a suspension letter with immediate effect to the aide.
The Minister who reiterated his commitment to the responsibility superintending the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation, and has no room for political distractions.

Idris noted that him and his home state governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, enjoy a positive, mutual relationship for the greater good of Niger state, therefore, speculations about the 2027 elections will appear inimical to these noble objectives.
