The Surveyor General of the Federation (SGOF), Abduganiyu Adeyemi Adebomehin, has felicitated with the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Nigerians as the country marks her Democracy Day.

In his message to commemorate 2025 Democracy Day, June 12, Adebomehin said the President has contributed through his Renewed Hope Agenda in no small amount to the country’s development.
“Tinubu is also committed to the recognition of his office with all assistance necessary in fulfilling the organization mandates”.

According to the statement released from his office, Adebomehin said the support the President gave to his office has led to the landmark achievements attributed to Office of the Surveyor General of the Federation in recent times.

He added that Nigeria is not only celebrating Democracy day with Mr President but the story for the struggle of democracy in Nigeria’ll not be completed today without mentioning President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s name.
“Because Tinubu was among the people that led the struggle to the nascent Fourth Republic which period began on May 29, 1999 vis a vis celebration of June 12 today”.

The SGOF recalled, “On 29 May 2023, Tinubu ended the costly subsidy of fuel that had previously existed in Nigeria, bringing privatization to the petroleum industry of Nigeria.

“The subsidy had cost the Nigerian government $10 billion per year at the time it was finally ended by Mr. President and there are so many achievements under him that are too numerous to mention.”
