According to Guinness World Records on X revealed that the total includes nods for coveted categories of Best Picture and Best Director.
Directed by Ryan Coogler, Sinners follows twin brothers Smoke and Stack Moore, who were two criminals returned to 1932 Mississippi to open a juke joint, hoping for a fresh start.
Their plans unravel, however, when a supernatural evil tied to music and local tensions emerges, trapping community in a night of escalating terror.

This nominations made Sinners broke a mark that had stood for many years from All About Eve (USA, 1950) in 1951, the Titanic (USA, 1997) in 1998, and most recently La La Land (USA, 2016) in 2017 which each received 14 nominations.
