In a significant move to spotlight President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s
transformative infrastructure agenda, the Honourable Minister of Works, Senator Engr. David Umahi, recently convened with the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda.

The high-level meeting, held on Tuesday, focused on strategizing the formal presentation of the govt’s monumental achievements in infrastructure development under the ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ to the party’s National Working Committee.

Umahi emphasized the administration’s
commitment to overcoming national challenges while sustaining critical infrastructure development nationwide.

He lauded Prof. Yilwatda for initiating an engagement process that brings the Ministers before the National Working Committee on live telecast to account for their progress, move he believes fosters transparency and accountability.

The Minister also commended the APC National Chairman for the successful and peaceful conduct of the Party’s primaries, highlighting the inclusive approach of the National Working Committee in ensuring aspirants had the freedom to contest.
This collaborative spirit, he noted, is crucial for the party’s continued success and democratic integrity.

In response, Prof. Yilwatda expressed his appreciation for Senator Umahi’s ongoing efforts in transforming the nation’s infrastructure sector.

He assured the Minister that an official
invitation to present the administration’s achievements would be extended soon.
Yilwatda further acknowledged that the impact of President Tinubu’s massive infrastructure drive is already evident across the country, with Nigerians witnessing and following the progress through various media reports, public feedback, and visible projects.

Immediately following the meeting, Senator Umahi demonstrated his hands-on leadership by proceeding to personally review and address the developing situation at Eko Bridge, underscoring the administration’s proactive approach to infrastructure management.

This meeting marks a pivotal step in showcasing the tangible progress of the ‘Renewed Hope Agenda,’ reinforcing the government’s dedication to national development and the well-being of its citizens.
